Welcome back, Dr. Davoudi!
Dr. Zahra Davoudi revisited Ames for the graduation ceremony. She got her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Iowa State University in 2020. She works as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research of the National Cancer Institute (NIH). She is working on cancer organoids project for cancer diagnosis and treatments. Welcome back!

Both Zahra’s abstract “Intestinal Organoids Containing PLGA Nanoparticles for the Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases“, and Martin’s abstract “Alternative Foaming Agents for Topical Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis” have been accepted for Oral Presentations at the Society For Biomaterials 2018 Annual Meeting and Exposition: Exploring the Nexus of Research and Application, being held April 11 – 14, 2018 in Atlanta, GA, USA. Yijun’s abstract “Ex vivo Study of Nanowires in Mini-guts” has been invited as an oral presentation to the Society For Biomaterials 2017 Annual Meeting and Exposition: Where Materials become Medicine, being held April 5 – 8, 2017 in Minneapolis, MN, USA at the Minneapolis Convention Center. She will present her results at the session entitled “Multifunctional Biomaterial Design for Regenerative Tissue Engineering” on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 6:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.. Congratulations~
